Cary a travellin’ band

We’ve been travellin’ through this country
And have crossed a lot of land
Met a lot of fools
N’ have seen some nice ladies
One had trouble paying taxes
The other got himself a dame

A lazy lifestyle to maintain

With hollow pockets and empty hands

Well sent the papers to the test
And they did what they do best
Left a pale man on the bump
With a whole lot of debt
So we dusted up the shoes
Grabbed the box and hopped the booze
Windy streets and dirty bars
All put to good use
And it’s been months now, of pounding loud little wooden box
